If you would prefer to cycle - Hadrian's Cycleway runs the length of Hadrian's Wall between Newcastle-Upon-Tyne and Maryport on the Cumbrian Coast. This exciting route passes through lively cities, picturesque market towns and villages as well as historic Roman forts and castles along the way.

The Wall itself can be seen at various locations, but the most spectacular stretch is between Birdoswald in Cumbria and Housesteads within Northumberland National Park.
