About Explore The National Parks

In 1998 - Helen was involved in the original development of the New Forest Holiday Bureau online. At this time "The New Forest Holiday Bureau" was a telephone booking service for Bed and Breakfast Accommodation in the area, and as the demand for a web present was increased, an online directory grew with listings for bed and breakfast, self catering and hotels.

The online directory (Explore the New Forest) now provides one of the most thorough accommodation directories on the New Forest which enables holiday makers to contact the establishments directly to make their bookings without any additional commissions.

In 2007, Mary and Roger Lewis retired, and Helen took over the online web business and re launched the web site with a fresh new look that incorporates a more modern approach that would encourage visitors to the New Forest from across the world.

Explore the National Parks was established in 2008, as an independent internet based directory on the all the National Parks within Great Britain, with the aim to provide visitors and local residents with information about accommodation, attractions, events and more within the various parks and surrounding areas and was based on the success of the original site.

Explore the New Forest is still managed by Helen who aims to include a variety of fresh content about events and features that are happening in and around the New Forest, and she would love to hear from you if you have any ideas that could be incorporated in future.
